Eligible employers may benefit from fully funded training, providing a cost-effective way to upskill staff, reduce recruitment costs and build a skilled workforce. We can also support employers with recruiting suitable candidates where required.
- Upskill your workforce – Develop existing staff, reduce recruitment costs and close skills gaps from within.
- No National Insurance – Employers pay no National Insurance contributions for apprentices under 25 earning below the Upper Secondary Threshold.
- £1,000 employer incentive – Available for hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 18, or under 25 with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan or care experience.
- Foundation Apprenticeship funding – Employers may receive up to £3,000, paid in instalments during the apprentice’s first year.
- £2,000 incentive for SMEs – Smaller (non-levy) businesses hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 24 can receive £2,000 from October 2026.
- £2,000 Foundation Apprenticeship payment – Available for employers hiring apprentices aged 16 to 21 (or up to 24 for eligible groups).
- £3,000 bursary for care leavers – Available to apprentices under 25 starting an apprenticeship.
- Fully funded training – Smaller (non-levy) businesses hiring eligible apprentices aged 16 to 24 can access fully funded apprenticeship training from August 2026.
- Additional £1,000 employer payment – Available for employing apprentices aged 16 to 18, or 19 to 24 in eligible groups.
- Youth Jobs Grant – Employers may receive up to £3,000 for hiring eligible 18 to 24-year-olds claiming Universal Credit, paid in two instalments.
