Yes, apprentices are employed staff and must be paid at least the National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage, rising to the National Minimum Wage for their age after the first year (for those 19+). Many employers pay above this rate. Apprentices also get the same rights as other employees, including paid annual leave and a contract of employment. Professional Training Solutions supports you throughout, from onboarding to mentoring and progress reviews.
Yes, you don't need GCSEs in maths or English to start an apprenticeship with Professional Training Solutions. If you're 16 to 18 and don't already hold grade 4/C or equivalent, you'll work towards Functional Skills qualifications alongside your apprenticeship. If you're 19 or over, this isn't mandatory, and you and your employer can decide together.
Professional Training Solutions offers nationally recognised qualifications through Apprenticeships and Adult Skills Fund (ASF) programmes, including Health and Social Care, Functional Skills, BSL, Business, Employability and Spectator Safety. Apprenticeships are recognised qualifications in their own right, some including additional qualifications like Adult Care, while others, such as Early Years Educator, are themselves full occupational qualifications.
Yes, eligible adults aged 19+ in London can access fully funded Level 1 to Level 4 courses through our Adult Skills Fund (ASF) provision, including Functional Skills, BSL, Health and Social Care, Business, Employability and Spectator Safety. This supports adults who are unemployed, on a lower income, or looking to retrain, upskill or progress in their career.
